Pear Tree Inn Farmhouse Kitchen With Bar & Rooms

Here’s a conversational, NLP‑friendly introduction to Pear Tree Inn Farmhouse Kitchen With Bar & Rooms, weaving in SEO context and a few smart secondary keywords for relevance. I’m playing the role of a friendly local guide - no conclusion at the end, just natural flow.

Hey there! If you’re hunting for a warm, family‑friendly restaurant in Melksham, let me introduce you to Pear Tree Inn Farmhouse Kitchen With Bar & Rooms. Nestled at Top Lane, Whitley, Melksham SN12 8QX, United Kingdom, it’s a cozy farmhouse‑style dining spot that doubles as a bar and even has rooms if you fancy an overnight stay. Since you’re planning a meal here, I’ll highlight what makes it stand out from other local places - think of it as your local guide talking.

When you search for Pear Tree Inn Farmhouse Kitchen With Bar & Rooms, you’ll find it’s a great choice for a family‑friendly restaurant, a pet‑friendly restaurant, or even a cozy restaurant with free parking and a free breakfast if you’re staying over. They offer free Wi‑Fi, they’re accessible, air‑conditioned, and they welcome kids and pets - so you can relax knowing it’s not just a restaurant, it’s a full experience.

Talking food: they serve a classic Full English Breakfast, which is a hit for breakfast lovers. Then there’s the Salted Caramel and Chocolate Tart, Poached Pear Pavlova, and refreshing Sorbet, Vegetable Birra Moretti to sip on. For lunch or dinner you’ve got solid choices like Take‑Away Steak and Ale Pie, Crispy Pork Belly Roast Dinner, Rib of Beef Roast Dinner, Garlic Chicken Salad Sandwich, or a Burger and Chips served with seasonal slaw and skinny fries. And if you prefer something lighter, there's Charcuterie, or drinks like Mimosa or Ein Zwei Zero Sparkling Rosé.

If someone types “local farm‑to‑table restaurants” or “cozy restaurants UK”, this place ticks both boxes - they source familiar ingredients, create fresh dishes, and the vibe is low‑pressure yet attentive. It also hits long‑tail keyword territory like “family‑friendly brunch places near Melksham” or “romantic dinner spots Whitley”.

Imagine walking in: friendly staff greet you, you settle in with a nice drink at their bar, maybe a Sparkling Rose or a Birra Moretti on tap. You can soak in the farmhouse charm, airy and cooled by air conditioning, with plenty of space if you’ve brought kids or pets. They’ve got free parking so you don’t stress about space - perfect if you’re driving in from surrounding towns.

When your breakfast arrives, whether the hearty Full English or a lighter vegetable sorbet, everything shows care. And desserts like that Salted Caramel and Chocolate Tart or Poached Pear Pavlova feel indulgent without being over the top. Add in a skinny chips twist and some unique sauces on the burger, and they manage to balance comfort food and creative plating.

The service options feel thoughtful: they’re accessible for all guests, there's no airport shuttle or gym - but that’s intentional. The appeal here is simplicity and quality, not unnecessary frills. Because of that, the place often appeals to people searching “affordable restaurants with parking UK” or “restaurant with kids menu near me.”

As a local reviewer, I’d say that what sets Pear Tree Inn Farmhouse Kitchen With Bar & Rooms apart is its well‑rounded offering: tasty classics (Full English, roast dinners, burgers), tempting desserts, relaxing bar drinks, and practical perks like free breakfast and free Wi‑Fi. It sits comfortably between a rural inn and a neighborhood pub‑restaurant.

Whether you’re there for brunch, a take‑away steak pie, or a cozy evening roast with a drink, the vibe delivers. And if you find yourself staying over, the rooms tie in seamlessly - making it a perfect choice when you search for “restaurant with rooms Melksham” or “inn with bar and kitchen near me.”

It was nice but I can’t see why it’s a 5*. Our room was in the loft. Extremely hot room with no aircon but they did have fans. If you supply a cot, you should have bedding for it. There was loud banging coming from downstairs at night which was far from ideal when putting our toddler to bed. The floor boards were extremely creaky in the room. The taps on the bath and plug were broken. However I can’t fault the food, I would come back for that alone but wouldn’t stay there again.

Beautiful setting and interior except lighting was low which made eating a bit tricky for elderly member of our group. The food was good apart from old spinach. Nice beer. Was told had to eat at 12.45 as busy, but only one other person in the restaurant

Gorgeous old pub in a village location with friendly staff. Food is amazing and served beautifully but could have had a more vegetarian options. The puddings are a bit on the expensive side but delicious. The pub is set in lovely gardens too. Well worth a visit.

We live fairly locally to this lovely pub and have been a few times over the years. I took my family here for my father’s birthday dinner last night. The weather was lovely, the pub was busy, and the staff nailed it! Had great service and the food was the best it has ever been in my experience. We sat outside in the garden and the service was still very good! Look forward to coming back again soon. Well done to the team at The Pear Tree
